Results

Results are in general agreement with literature: IVIM parameters tend to change during gestation, potentially reflecting microstructural tissue changes occurring in renal and lung parenchyma during prenatal life.

In RENAL ROIs we found a positive correlation (p<0.001) between the fraction of perfusion (fp) and gestational age (GE). Fig. 6

In LUNG ROIs we found a positive correlation (p<0.005) between the fraction of perfusion (fp) and gestational age (GE). Fig. 7

Therefore, in our study, the perfusion fraction showed statistically higher values during gestation.

Otherwise we have not found a significant correlation between diffusion coefficient(D), pseudo-diffusion coefficient(D*) and gestational age (GE), in both renal and lung ROIs. Fig. 8 Fig. 9
