We obtained a total of 314 valid questionnaires, 221 from students of public and 103 from a private university, 68 male (21,7%) and 246 female students, Students from a 1st year present 51% of sample and from 4th year 49% and ages between 18 and 42 years oldn Table 1
Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin and Bartlett tests have been performed to evaluate correlation between variables, KMO of 0,908 means excellent correlation and Bartlett test present p-value lower than 0,01, showing significant correlation between the variables, these results is similar to [3], [5].
Mann-Whitney U test was performed to evaluate statistical significance for variable gender and factors as IM and AM present values lower than 0,05, it confirms that exist significant difference between male and female gender for these factors. According our results, female radiography students are more intrinsically motivated, and they behave more politically than males but no significant differences were found. From the analysis of the averages, the female students presented higher average of IM compared to males, but male students show AM higher average than female students Table 2, similar results were obtained in [3].
Mann-Whitney U test was performed to evaluate statistical significance for variable scholar year and factors as IM and AM present values higher than 0.05, so no significant difference between 1st and 4th year was found. However, values lower than 0.05 were identified for identification factor, it confirms that exist significant difference between 1st and 4th scholar year.
Radiology students of first year have high levels of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and lower levels of amotivation, and 4th year students present higher levels of amotivation Table 3.
No statistical differences were identified between private and public universities students.
Krurkal-Waliis test was used to determine significance and no statistical differences were identified for age range of the questionnaires for factors as intrinsic motivation and amotivation. Only at identification factor significant difference were identified, values lower than 0,05.
