Accuracy of automatic measured parameters of aortic annulus
The mean area of the aortic annulus was 4.81 ± 0.96 cm2 for the automatic algorithm and 4.60 ± 0.94 cm2 by the observer with a mean difference of 0.20 ± 0.39 cm2.
The automatically measured area-derived radius was 12.31 ± 1.24 mm,
the measurement of the observer was 12.04 ± 1.27 mm,
with the mean and the standard deviation of the difference: 0.27 ± 0.54 mm.
The min diameter of the automatic results was 21.46 ± 2.54 mm,
and 20.91 ± 2.53 mm semi-automatically with a mean difference of 0.55 ± 1.42 mm. The automatically measured max diameter was 30.82 ± 4.48 mm,
and by the observer it was 29.57 ± 3.10 mm,
resulting in a difference of 1.24 ± 2.57 mm.
The correlation coefficient of the area measurements was r= 0.916 (P < 0.001),
for the radius r = 0.908 (P < 0.001),
for the max diameter r= 0.829 (P < 0.001),
for min diameter r = 0.842 (P < 0.001).
The mean processing time of the automatic algorithm was around 1 minute.
