Imaging specialists should be familiar with fundamental basics of medical physics in order to promote optimal radiation dose usage without sacrificing the image quality
Standardization of scan protocols between different scanners and educating the radiology technologists properly have a great potential for optimizing the radiation dose and decreasing the variability within the same department.
