Background/introduction
The ESR representing more than 120,000 radiologists and acting as the umbrella organisation of all European national radiological societies and subspecialty societies is taking an increasing interest in the needs and expectations of patients.

Call for interest
The ESR-PAG seeks to enhance its membership to advocate for a patient-centred approach within radiology across Europe and to maintain a close alignment between professionals and the patient community.

Conclusion and recommendations
The ESR-PAG is a group of committed patient ambassadors that gives a unique voice to patients in the area of medical imaging. The ESR-PAG strongly believe that close collaboration is key to building a mutually beneficial relationship between patients and the radiology community in the interest of increased patient involvement, perspective, needs and expectations.
