Background
The Club Bibliográfico SERAM (CBSERAM) is an altruist organization,
supported by the Spanish Society of Radiology (SERAM),
formed,
coordinated and directed by radiology residents.
Its main goal to make a space to share and critically review recent scientific literature.
Through the critical review of recent articles published in high impact journals,
we keep abreast of the scientific literature and develop editorial skills during our training as general radiologists.
As we know,
bibliographical clubs can be widely used as a versatile tool in medical education,
teaching in systematic evaluation and interpretation of the published literature and serve as a mean to share the latest advances in medical science.
During our training process as residents of general Radiology,
we have detected important gaps in training when it comes to keeping up with scientific knowledge and developing editorial skills in terms of writing and interpreting scientific information,
learning technological tools,
and to reach an active voice of the radiology scientific community
With the aim of improving these deficiencies,
CBSERAM was born in 2013,
a pioneering project in Spain and Europe in the radiological field,
in which a group of Radiology residents decided to go one step further in the global scientific training.
