Patients of both groups did not differ in obesity expressed by BMI: group 1 - BMI = 27,8 [25,4; 31,1] kg / m2,
group 2 - BMI = 27,3 [24,9; 29,6] kg / m2,
p = 0,061.
According to the MSCT coronary angiography,
the values of thickness PCAT were significantly higher in patients with CHD (Fig.2).
At the level of the left coronary artery trunk,
thickness PCAT in the first group was 3,4 [3,2; 3,7] mm,
while in the second group it was 2,9 [2,5; 3,2] mm,
p = 0,034.
At the level of the proximal third of the LAD,
similar data were noted: thickness PCAT in the first group was 3,3 [2,7; 3,3] mm,
in the second - 2,8 [2,4; 3,1] mm,
p = 0,037.
At the level of the middle third of the LAD,
thickness PCAT was 2,7 [2,3; 2,9] mm in the first group,
whereas in the second group it was 2,4 [2,1; 2,7] mm,
p = 0,039.
In addition to this,
at the level of the proximal third of the CX,
thickness PCAT in the first group was 2,7 [2,3; 2,9] mm,
while in the 2nd group 2,5 [2,3; 2,8] mm,
p = 0,029.
A similar pattern was observed at the level of the middle third of CX: thickness PCAT in the first group was 2,7 [2,3; 3] mm,
while thickness PCAT in the second group was 2,3 [1,9; 2,7],
p = 0,032.
Similar data were obtained in the analysis of thickness PCAT at the level of the proximal third of the RCA,
thickness PCAT in the 1st group was 3,6 [2,6; 3,7] mm,
in the second group – 3,2 [2,8; 3,5] mm,
p = 0,042,
also at the level of the middle third of the RCA,
thickness PCAT in the 1st group was 3,4 [3; 3,5] mm,
in the 2nd group – 3,1 [2,8; 3,4] mm,
p = 0,041.
In the course of the correlation analysis,
direct strong links between the number and percentage of stenoses of the left coronary artery stenosis,
the anterior descending and circumflexarteries with the thickness of the pericoronary adipose tissue at the level of the middle third of the corresponding artery,
as well as the percentage of stenosis of the right coronary artery and the thickness of the pericoronary adipose tissue at the level middle third of the right coronary artery.
