Conclusion
So what we know about Ileum diseases!? Small bowel diseases are rare, but they have a wide range of radiological appearances. It is not only Crohn’s disease and ileitis. However, a wide variety of diseases may be associated with ileitis and mimicking it. We must not forget about rare tumor-like diseases, accidental findings, and complications.
CT enterography with contrasting the ileum with a negative contrast agent is an affordable and quite informative method in assessing the ileum, for the diagnosis and detection of diseases, as well as their differentiation and detection of their complications. The location, size, and morphologic characteristics will help to differentiate between benign or malignant diseases and in association with other findings we will understand the whole picture of the disease.
