Conclusion and recommendations
This is a chronicle of the evolution of the implementation and the perspectives of the Afrosafe Rad and Arabsafe campaigns with an emphasis on the current status of the topics that require improvement.
Though the program has delivered a safe approach in the healthcare joining the international community since inception, significant but surmountable difficulties still exist.
This requires a systematic approach considering the implementation of the Afrosafe Rad and Arabsafe campaigns in a cultural and organizational setting for application in a different context.
Changing the way of the professionals operate is vital to meet current safety health challenges, considering that people, and therefore healthcare organizations, are inherently resistant to change.
To deal with the growing demand for the safety policy, radiation protection measures needs to be better integrated with other healthcare services, helping to improve ordering behaviours, manage demand on services and ensure the results lead to better patient care.
Political will, scaling up and empowering human resource ,professional collaborations are essential.
A strategy for the implementation of Afrosafe Rad and Arabsafe campaigns should be graded as part of a needs-based improvement program.
It should be tailored and selected to sub- regions and countries based on the resources and needs but also the culture and the languages
