In this presentation many duodenal pathologies such as
- Congenital abnormalities;
duodenal malrotation, duodenal atresia, duodenal web, diverticulum, annular pancreas, paraduodenal hernia, lymphangiectasia, superior mesenteric artery syndrome,
- Inflammatory mural thickening due to;
acute pancreatitis, acute cholecystitis, perforated duodenal ulcer, Crohn's disease, Coeliac disease, Menetrier's disease,
- Mural thickening arised from adjacent infectious process such as;
Subheptic abscesses, mesenteric panniculitis, perfrorated large bowel, perfrorated gallbladder, pyelonephritic psoas abscess, gossipyboma
GIST, adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, Papilla Vateri tumor,
- Secondary tumoral involvements by
Gastric carcinoma, gallbladder carcinoma, pancreatic carcinoma
- Paraduodenal solid masses such as:
pancreatic head lipoma, dermoid cyst, plasmocytoma,paraganlioma, lymphadenopathies, mesenteric liposarcoma
- Paraduodenal cystic masses such as:
Choledochocele,choledochal cyst, gallbladder duplication, hydatic cyst, pseudocyst, paraduodenal abscess, polycystic disease, intestinal lymphangiectasia,
Duodenal hematoma, ingested duodenal nail, Henöch-Schönlein Vasculitis
- Postoperative processes such as;
Whipple operation, duodenal cathater and stents, choledocho-duodenostomy, afferent loop syndrome
