Aims and objectives
Evaluation of the feasibility of a novel wireless touch screen-based remote controller tool in Vascular,
Surgery and Neurosurgery applications,
able to control a Diagnostic Ultrasound (US) system in real-time.
Methods and materials
MyLabRemote is an App-based Software which makes the operator able to remotely operate in real-time on the US system with a proper User Interface customization,
according to the application of interest.
Available commands for tablets are the following:
Mode: B-Mode,
Color Doppler-CFM,
Power Doppler
Tools: CnTI,

Results
The real-time US management using MyLabRemote was always possible in all tested applications.
It was also possible to obtain a satisfactory input/output velocity,
with no delay perceived by the operator.
Same considerations were achieved through the MyLabRemote App installed on the tablet in the Neurosurgery set up,
as well as in the real-time management of the Virtual Navigator real-time Fusion Imaging tool.
Different uses were performed,
depending on the installation of MyLabRemote App on smartphone (one hand use in the Vascular scenario both for lower...
Conclusion
MyLabRemote represents a feasible tool for real-time management of basic and advanced US system functions and technologies in any clinical environment,
where complete sterilization and/or US scans performed by a remote operator are needed.
