The purpose of this study was to compare the TIC dissect result by MR images with the pathological-diagnosis result.
It was quantitatively a value high Sensitivity=85.7%~94.3%,
Specificity=92.9%~97.1%,
and Positive Predictive Value=85.7%~94.3% by using defined Angle(A,B,C) in Invasive carcinoma of no special type divided into three stages(Scirrhous type<Tubule forming type<Solid type) by tumor cell density.
With high quantitative values of sensitivity,
specificity,
and positive predictive values,
and using defined Angles A,
B,
and C,
the invasive carcinoma of no special type could be divided into three stages of scirrhous,
tubule forming,
and solid types,
based on tumor cell density.
Although the setting of Angles A,
B,
and C need to be adjusted with the increase in the number of cases,
cases wherein the diagnosis did not correspond completely were attributed to bias by the observer.
In this study,
the automatic classification of invasive carcinoma of no special type based on tissue type made Quantitative and reproducible analysis the possible by a program which scanned all MR image without being influenced by the subjectivity.
This programme may support for a more exact pathological diagnosis.
According to this study,
the histological classification which met the cell density by the TIC analyze of MR images has checked the effective thing.
From the above results,
we can conclude that the histological classification corresponded effectively with the classification based on tumor cell density by the TIC analysis of the MR images.
