The purpose of this study was to explore the outreach capability of Image Wisely using Facebook Live, and identify elements of Image Wisely Facebook Live events that may be associated with more successful outreach.
Methods or background
In late 2018, Image Wisely unveiled a completely new and redesigned website. In the same time period, the Image Wisely Executive Committee discussed and brainstormed ideas for improving the effectiveness of its outreach and elevating Image Wisely’s public profile. Results or findings
Table 1 shows descriptive statistics for the ten Facebook Live events in the study, including the reported social media statistics and asterisks identifying the highest and second highest values for each. Conclusion
Compared to Facebook Live events with solo presenters, having live discussions on timely topics between 2+ people is associated with more reach, views, and new followers gained.
